Monarch has officially become our post-jog pit-stop! โ๐ ๐
After pushing my toddler around in her pram (which definitely counts as an upper-body workout!), their coffee tasted like a well-earned reward. Smooth, delicious, and exactly what every tired parent needs.
They've also got a tempting selection of savoury and sweet treatsโbecause let's be honest, you can't survive on endorphins alone. ๐
And here's a little bonus: pensioners get 10% off every Wednesday, so it's the perfect excuse to pop in for a coffee and a catch-up. ๐ฐ

MARIELLA'S - Philadelphia
Sunshine, swirling glasses, and the kind of view that makes you forget your phone exists - that was our day at Mariella's Restaurant situated at Capaia Wines โ๏ธ๐ท
We arrived expecting a 'nice lunch' and oh boy were we blown away by the crispy and tender perfectly prepared pork belly! And the rolled lamb shoulder - rich, melt-in-your-mouth and possibly the reason I'm still thinking about it hours later. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
The scenery deserves its own paragraph. Rolling vineyards, ๐ mountains showing off in the background. ๐ผ A bonus point is that it is child-friendly! ๐ช๐งธ๐จ

GET FILLED - Paarl
'BRUNCH' is breakfast without an alarm! โฐ๏ธ And that is exactly what we were up to on Saturday.
We decided to visit Get Filled Cafรฉ Paarl for a nice brunch. If you are looking for a very relaxed atmosphere, this is the spot.
Their menu has a wide variety of food and beverages. The portions are very generous and the service was excellent! A huge shout-out to their amazing staff. ๐๐ผ

SALMON & BRINE - Paarl
So...my hubby's birthday was in January and I like to make a big deal of his BIG day! ๐ฅณ This was our very first visit to Salmon & Brine and we were very impressed! ๐ฃ๐ค Our waitress was very informative and she had great taste because the food she suggested was ๐ท
With their wide variety of food we were spoiled for choice!

FREEDOM WEEKEND MARKET - Paarl
After our first week back at work...in we trust! ๐ท But as they say at the market, SLOW DOWN...SOAK IT UP! ๐ฆ
We decided to pop into the Freedom Weekend Market this afternoon for some lunch and wine with friends. What a real gem it was especially for parents looking for a child friendly venue. The jungle gym, play area, lawn and tractor rides give mom a bit of a breather. ๐
We were spoiled for choice when it came to food and beverages; from lamb rotis, burgers, pizzas, sushi, and seafood to wine, beer and my personal favourite, !โ๏ธ Did I mention the setting the vibe! ๐ค๐ถ๐ธ
My friends are well aware that I am a sucker when it comes to , so what a treat when I got to the Lotus Leather stall. These leather goods could make the best gift. ๐

I made a at Oumeul Bakery in Robertson, while I was on my way to a business meeting last week. What a treat?! ๐ They definitely sell quality food, made to perfection. Not only did I enjoy my lunch and coffee but they also stock a wide range of local products.
Be on the lookout for their excellent breakfast special at only R65; this includes a bacon and egg roll + a medium americano or flat white (available daily until midday).๐ฅ๐ณ๐
