People often think coffee shops are built around coffee. But if I’m honest, Ristretto Society has always been about people.
Yes, we love great coffee. We love good food and creating a space that feels warm and welcoming. But what really matters to us are the conversations that happen around the tables, the friendships that grow, the meetings, the Bible studies, the catch-ups, and the moments where people simply feel at home.

What an unexpected honour for our little corner of Cape Town!
This morning, the Mayor of Cape Town popped into Ristretto Society for the very first time. He mentioned he’s never been to our area before, saw our sign, and decided to stop in for a cappuccino and a look around.
He loved the vibe of the shop, and our baristas were thrilled to welcome him and even grab a quick photo. Moments like these remind us why we love serving our community — you never know who might walk through the door, but everyone gets the same Ristretto warmth.
Thank you for visiting our space and supporting local spots like ours. We’re proud to be a small part of this beautiful city.

To get to the location at ℅ Riebeek Street & Haarlem Road in Cape Town, there are several options depending on your preferences.
If you're using public transport, you can take a bus or a taxi that will drop you off at the nearest bus stop or taxi rank, which is just a short walk from the location.
If you prefer driving, take the M3 until it becomes the De Waal Drive. Continue straight onto Jutland Avenue and turn left on Camp Street. Turn right onto Buitenkant Street and continue until you reach Roeland Street. Turn left onto Roeland Street and then turn right onto Plein Street. Turn left onto Riebeek street and then find parking near the location.
Parking spaces around Riebeek Street & Haarlem Road are quite limited, so best to find a nearby public car park if possible.
