What people say
Camps Bay Clean is a remarkable initiative dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of Camps Bay. Since its inception in 2019, this volunteer-driven organization has been tirelessly working to keep the area litter-free, fostering a sense of community and environmental responsibility among residents and visitors alike.
One of the standout features of Camps Bay Clean is its engaging monthly community litter clean-up event, held on the last Sunday of each month from 11h00 to 12h00. Participants gather opposite The 41 Restaurant, where they not only contribute to a cleaner environment but also enjoy complimentary coffee or tea afterward. The friendly competition for prizes, including delicious burgers from The 41 for those who collect the most litter, adds an exciting twist to this meaningful activity.
For those looking to make a difference during the summer months, there are also opportunities for Tidal Pool litter cleaning on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This initiative encourages families to come together and participate in keeping our oceans clean while enjoying quality time outdoors.
Camps Bay Clean embodies a spirit of camaraderie and environmental stewardship that is truly inspiring. Whether you're a local or just visiting, joining this initiative is a wonderful way to connect with others who share a passion for maintaining the stunning landscapes of Camps Bay. Together, we can ensure that this beautiful area remains pristine for generations to come!
