Thank you so much for the mention and support FootNotes Media, Lorna Maseko and Jo-Ann Strauss! 🙏😊🐟

This week Lorna Maseko is joined by former Miss South Africa Jo-Ann Strauss as they explore Cape Town in a quest to find the best local seafood.

Their journey begins at the seaside suburb of Hout Bay where they visit legendary seafood restaurant Snoekies Hout Bay for a bite of its famous crispy-golden battered hake and chips. They then visit Sembach Gallery to immerse themselves in contemporary African art, while putting their creative talents to the test when tasked to produce some art of their own.

Lorna uses the hero ingredients and the tips she learnt along the way to prepare snoek with mebos and harissa basting for herself and Jo-Ann.

Be sure not to miss the final episode of Homegrown Tastes South Africa on Wednesday, 25 May 2022 at 8PM exclusive to BBC Lifestyle (DStv Channel 174).
