Apparently, having our traditional Argentine empanadas just one day a week wasn’t cutting it. And you made that VERY clear.
So we’re making a move!
Our empanadas are saying goodbye to Waterstone Village and finding a new home at Weirdough Lions Square.
And the best part? They’re now available TUESDAY TO SUNDAY! Starting tomorrow, 16 October!
To celebrate, we’re launching a little lunchtime happiness:

Today, Clare from Animal Welfare Helderberg collected a mini mountain of tinned and packaged food (and some toys 🤩). Thank you to all the amazing humans who donated throughout the month of September. It means the world to us but mostly, it means the world to the animals getting cared for at the shelter. ❤️
But the need doesn’t stop here.
Shelters like Animal Welfare Helderberg care for animals every single day, feeding them, keeping them warm, getting them healthy and giving them love while they wait for their humans to find them.
They rely heavily on the kindness of our community to keep doing that. So please keep supporting them when you can. Donate food. Donate a little money. Volunteer. Share their posts. Adopt. Foster. Even the smallest bit of help adds up.
And from us at Weirdough thank you again for helping us turn medialunas into full bowls.

We recently changed POS systems and found Jade’s secret photos stash on the IPad from the last 2.5 years 😂
When we looked through all the photos, we actually got teary cause some very special individuals were in them.
Special mentions: Hailey, James and Chev - we miss your faces and watching our baby girl grow. Now we follow you guys on your adventures abroad.
And Errol…not a day goes by that we don’t miss you. RIP ❤️

Public Transport:
1. Take the Metro Rail/MyCiti bus to the Cape Town station
2. From there, take a taxi or Uber towards La Montagne
Driving/Parking:
1. Take N2 from Cape Town CBD towards Somerset West
2. Take Exit 33 for Baden Powell Drive/R310 towards Stellenbosch/Macassar
3. Turn right onto Baden Powell Drive/R310 and continue straight
4. Turn left onto Dianthus Road and continue straight
5. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto Olympus Road
6. Turn right onto Protea Road and the destination will be on your left
For parking options, there are a few street parking spots available on Protea Road and some paid parking lots nearby as well.
