Simply Asia is a Thai restaurant located on Wex Street in Woodstock. The restaurant was started by Thai national Chai Lekcharoensuk, who was inspired to bring a more authentic and upmarket take on Thai dining to South Africa after being disappointed by the local offerings. Simply Asia offers a unique Thai dining experience with a menu full of delicious dishes prepared by their skilled chefs.

Serving our local heroes 🧑‍🚒 On Monday, 29 Sep 2025, Cape Town’s brave firefighters worked tirelessly to contain a blaze that broke out in the CBD. To show our gratitude, Simply Asia Waterfront, Woodstock and Pinelands came together to provide 85 warm meals. A heartfelt thank you to all our firefighters for their courage and commitment to keeping our communities safe ❤️

To reach the restaurant at Wex in Cape Town, there are several options depending on your mode of transportation. If you are traveling by public transport, take a bus or taxi to the nearest station and then transfer to the MyCiTi bus service. Alternatively, you can take a train and get off at the closest station before taking a taxi or walking to the location. For those driving, take the M5 and turn onto Liesbeek Parkway, then turn onto Main Road and continue straight until you reach your destination. Parking is available along Main Road or in nearby parking lots if space is available.
