Nicaragua
Finca Aurora Bonanza
Enrique Ferrufino, a surgeon by trade, was born and raised on a coffee farm in the mountains of Matagalpa. Together with his wife Silvia, a pediatrician, the Ferrufino family decided to go into the coffee business in 1992 and bought Finca Aurora in 2004. They inspired in their three children a love for coffee from a very early age. Since they acquired Finca Aurora, the whole family has worked together to produce great coffee.
One of the core values of their business is to inspire people through coffee. Throughout the years they have invested in providing workers with fair wages, safe living conditions, health services, food and education. They also work with smaller producers in the area to help them improve their farming practices.
Finca Aurora is one of the first farms in Nicaragua with a fully integrated coffee operation on-site. They produce, wash and dry the coffee at the farm. The coffee is milled, sorted and bagged at Beneficio Finca Aurora under the watchful eye of the farm’s team. This allows full control over the quality throughout the process.
Bonanza is one of the larger volume lines for the farm. This coffee is perfect for those constantly looking for balanced acidity and highly consistent quality. To top it off, this coffee comes with Rainforest Alliance Certification, ensuring it has been produced using the most sustainable methods possible.

NEW ARRIVAL!
Nicaragua San Juan Del Rio Coco
Washed
Nicaragua is known as the land of lakes and volcanoes and has many coffee growing ‘pockets’ that few have heard of or experienced.
Spanning five communities in the San Juan del Rio Coco region in Northern Nicaragua, UCA SJRC, helps farmers produce profitable and environmentally responsible coffee.
UCA(Unión de Cooperativas Agropecuarias) SJRC is a union of 8 cooperatives in the region that represent more than
370 small holder producers. The 8 separate cooperatives in the region joined together in 1993 to be able to better help their members control quality and access better prices. The region and the cooperative are both named after the Rio Coco, a large river that runs through the region.

NEW ARRIVAL!
Guatemala Huehuetenango
Washed
The name Huehuetenango means “Place of the Ancients” and is from a Mayan language spoken predominantly by people in Guatemala and Mexico. Huehuetenango is one of the larger commercial centres for the numerous Mayan settlements that dot western-central Guatemala. Near the city are ruins of an ancient Mayan centre called Zaculeu, which has been developed into an archaeological site. Of the three non-volcanic coffee producing regions, Huehuetenango is the highest and driest. Thanks to the dry, hot winds that blow into the mountains from Mexico’s Tehuantepec plain, the region is protected from frost, allowing Coffee to be cultivated up to 2000 meters above sea level with no issues, or protective measures needed. These high altitudes and relatively predictable climatic conditions make for exceptional circumstances to cultivate and process high quality coffee.
