Aunty Viv’s Soup Kitchen in Hangberg, Hout Bay, run by Vivinnia Wichman, has been serving warm meals to children and families in the community for many years.
This Easter, on 2 April at 3pm, Aunty Viv and her volunteers are preparing a special meal of fish curry and rice for 300 children and community members.
For many of these children, this may be their only Easter celebration meal.
We are asking local businesses and community members to help make this day possible.
You can support by donating:

Aunty Viv is planning something special this Christmas 🎄❤️
On the 18th of December, she hopes to bless the community with:

🎁 A small party pack for each child
This will be her way of bringing a little joy and dignity to the families and children who depend on her soup kitchen throughout the year.

This winter, Granny Mckay lovingly donated 51 hand-knitted jerseys, mittens, and hats — all made with wool bought locally from Fiddlesticks.

To reach Pilchards Place in Cape Town, you have a couple of options depending on your preferred mode of transport:
**By Public Transport:**
1. **MyCiTi Bus:** Take the MyCiTi bus to the nearest station, which is the "Civic Centre" stop. From there, transfer to a bus heading towards Hout Bay or Camps Bay and get off at the "Hout Bay" stop. It's a short walk from there to Pilchards Place.
2. **Train:** If you're coming from further afield, take a train to Cape Town Station. From there, you can catch a MyCiTi bus or a taxi directly to your destination.
**By Car:**
1. Head towards the city center and follow signs for the N1/N2 highways.
2. Take the exit for M3 towards Muizenberg/Cape Town International Airport.
3. Continue on M3 until it merges with Main Road (M4).
4. Follow Main Road until you reach Pilchards Place; look for parking options nearby, including street parking or designated lots.
