If you are taking public transport, you can take the train to the Observatory station and then walk towards Main Road. Alternatively, you can take a bus that stops at Main Road.
If you are driving, take the N2 towards Cape Town and take the exit for Liesbeek Parkway/M57 towards Rondebosch. Keep right and merge onto Liesbeek Parkway. Continue straight until you reach Main Road, where you will turn left.
There is limited street parking available along Main Road, but there is also a parking lot located behind some of the shops on the same stretch.
