If you’ve noticed a bit of activity at Doodles lately, here’s what we up to.
In 2024 we completed the first phase of renovations with the addition of our function room. We’re moving onto the next phase by combining the bar and lounge into one larger, more open-plan space, designed to bring the two areas together seamlessly.
We will keep you updated on the progress.
We appreciate your patience while the work is underway.
The restaurant and bar remain open as usual throughout the renovations, and we look forward to welcoming you into the finished space soon. 🍻

The function room had a full house the other night for a birthday and it turned into a really great evening.
Around 65 guests, a buffet spread with beef lasagne, chicken pie, greek salads, and kingklip with cauliflower puttanesca. Plenty of food and a good vibe from start to finish.
Always lekker seeing the space used like that.

St Patrick’s Day is tomorrow, and we’ve got a good reason to raise a pint.
We’ll be pouring 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝟯𝟵, so it’s the perfect time to try your luck at splitting the G.
If you know, you know.
One sip… and the foam line needs to land right through the middle of the G on the glass. Sounds easy, but most people miss it the first time.
So bring your friends, grab a pint, and see if you can nail it. If you miss… well, that just means you’ll have to try again.

To get to the bar and grill on Beach Boulevard in Cape Town, there are a few options for public transport.
