Somerset Sights B&B is rated on this page as #1 of 62 hotels in Somerset West and #1 of 6,437 hotels in our area.
This award is something special for us and our guests and we are quite proud of it.
According to the motto "If you think you're good, you've stopped getting better", we don't want to rest on our laurels, but work on maintaining this success and improving it where possible.

Our saltwater pool didn't look perfect anymore. So we decided to make it new. First idea was to just renovate the pool itself, but then we decided to do the whole pool area including pool, tiling, surrounding garden and plants. We think it looks great now! We are looking forward to the feedback from our guests.

No more "Load Shedding" for our guests and for us. Three days ago we installed a powerful solar system for our B&B. From now on there will be no electricity cut off anymore. In addition we save approximately 70% of our electricity bill. Last but not least, we do something for the environment.

It's a kind of tradition now. Like every year, we cook Thai food for our guests for Christmas dinner. Actually Mai is cooking of course and I do the decoration, drinks etc. Anyway, our guests love it and are looking forward to it every year...

All travelers do need a PCR when they fly back to their home countries nowadays. Our guests can do the test at our B&B. A laboratory consultant is coming to our house and does the test. Within 12 hours our guests receive a SMS with the test result und wihin 24 hours the send the certifiacte via email.
Our guests appreciate this service very much. The do not have to visit a doctor or hospital but can do the test in the safe environment of our B&B.

To get to Buchu Cl in Cape Town, take the N2 and exit at M3 towards Muizenberg. Take the Rhodes Drive exit and continue straight until you reach Union Ave. Turn left onto Union Ave, then right onto Campground Rd, and finally left onto Buchu Cl.
If taking public transport, take the train to Cape Town station and transfer to a taxi or bus heading towards Kirstenbosch Gardens. Get off at the intersection of Rhodes Drive and Union Ave and follow the walking directions above.
For those driving, there is parking available on Buchu Cl or along the streets nearby. Please be mindful of any signage indicating parking restrictions.
