We are very sad to announce that Brownies & Downies in Cape Town has to close its doors.

After 11 long weeks of consultations and doing everything in our power to save this beautiful concept - due to the complications of extended lockdown, persistent overhead costs, sudden drops of income, reduction in donations and the uncertainty of the near future, we have had to make this hard decision to close.

To all our loyal customers, donors and supporters - we appreciate you so much and thank you for an amazing 4 years. Perhaps we'll meet again in the future, but for now, stay safe and 'til next time.

Sincerely,
Wade & Wendy Schultz
Founders

This is Joshua 😁

He is the newest trainee to the Brownies & Downies family. He enjoys being a waiter, because he is in a position where he can help customers – by assisting them on which delicious meal to order and serving them their meals.

His favourite brownie is the Classic Chocolate Brownie, and his goal is to one day have his own restaurant.

"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much." - Helen Keller

Following the announcement by President Ramaphosa last night, we will be closing our restaurant’s doors from Wednesday, 25 March.

We want to say thank you to all our customers for their support, and our team members for all their constant hard work. We will miss seeing you all!

We believe that if we all work together by practicing social distancing that we can flatten the curve.

We will keep you updated about when the restaurant will be re-opening – until then please stay safe.
