Shew! This topper.
I've never posted a pic of this topper.
I made it a year ago.
The story behind it...
The customer asked me to make this wedding cake topper 2 months before collection, before I had found out I had Cancer and before I knew I had to do chemotherapy. Another baker was supposed to make this topper and had let her down and told her she could no longer do it. So I said I was up for the challenge.
Then Cancer, then chemotherapy. A week before this topper had to be collected I was completely man down from chemo. I could think straight, I had to sleep all the time and I hadn't started the topper and I was panicking that I was not going to be strong enough to be able to make it.
I called a few other bakers in the hopes someone could help me, but everyone was booked.
So I decided that I would do a little every day in the few minutes of the day that I felt ok.
Then by day 7 of chemo, by some miracle I started to feel a lot better and I was able to finish the topper.
In the end it came out really nicely and my customer was super happy with the result.
