Our Gentle Old Boy, Blackie, Needs Your Help PLEASE 🙏

There comes a time in every animal's life when they need us just a little bit more. Today, we are asking for your help for one of our very special old boys.

Blackie is 15 years old and although he may not always be the most graceful gentleman, he has one of the kindest, most loving hearts you could ever hope to meet. He has quietly become part of the Lucky Lucy family and everyone who knows him has a very special place in their heart for him.

Recently, Blackie developed a painful dental abscess that has made eating and simply enjoying life very uncomfortable. Our vets has started him on antibiotics to help clear the infection before his urgent dental procedure on Friday, 7 August 2026.

The estimated cost of his dental procedure, together with his medication, is estimated by our vets to be R2,800. Blackie has given us fifteen years of quiet resilience, unconditional love and companionship. Now it's our turn to be there for him.

We know times are tough, but if you are able to contribute any amount, no matter how small, you will be helping us give our beloved old boy the treatment he so desperately needs and every donation will bring us one step closer to easing his pain and allowing him to enjoy his golden years in comfort.

As a child I knew only too well what it felt like to be picked last for a team. So I can feel for Zoe who has not even had one enquiry. Yet her kittens flew out the door like hotcakes at a Black Friday special. Yes she is not a kitten but at not even a year old she is still very much a kitten. She is very energetic with a huge desire to play. So you can imagine that cattery life can be frustrating for her. She wants a home and garden to run around in, people to cuddle and play peekaboo with when they least expect it. Zoe is super cute and a little bit spicey.
