COVID-19 Lockdown Level 4 Update:
We know you’ve all been waiting to hear when you can order your favorite Cattle Baron meal again. Unfortunately our store will remain temporarily closed during Lockdown Level 4. We will review our position and update you on our trading status should anything change. Thank you for your loyal support and patience in these challenging times.

Following the President's national address to lockdown South Africa for 21 days, our restaurant will be temporarily closed with immediate affect until further notice to give ourselves and our staff time to prepare for lockdown.
We would like to thank our customers for their continued support. To all our fellow South Africans, we wish you the best of luck with this extremely difficult time and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Bonus tips:
Remember the 5 S’s.
See. Look at the wine, tilt your glass, and take note of the colour, clarity, viscosity, and so on.
Swirl. Move your glass in a circular motion to allow oxygen to mix with the wine. This aeration allows the wine to open up if it’s a fresh bottle.
Sniff. Smell the wine. Close your eyes, and allow this singular sense to experience the wine.
Sip. Take a small sip, and let it linger on your taste buds.
Savour. Let the wine linger on your taste buds for a few seconds, then swallow slowly.

We are still open for business!
Cattle Baron Somerset West is taking the following precautions to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus:
1. Our staff have been informed of the latest best practice of Covid-19 prevention.
2. Stringent hand washing measures have been enforced for all our staff. Guests have a station at the door for hand sanitation.
3. With the help of our cleaning product supplier, we've invested in the very best materials for all surface and floor cleaning purposes.
4. The intensity and regularity of our cleaning schedule have been increased during hours of service. All surfaces will be wiped down regularly to ensure areas used by our guests are as clean as possible.
5. While we are still accepting cash, card payments are preferred. We are making special effort to disinfect our card machines after every use.
6. We will make an effort to maximize the amount of fresh air in the restaurant.
We will continue to operate as normal until such time as we are instructed not to by a relevant authority.
