This cake was one of the few times that the birthday girl was super specific: A turquoise Mandala cake. We love turquoise! The fondant was coloured in advance to give the colour time to develop into the beautiful blue that you see here. Royal Icing was used for the finer details. Happy Birthday!

Christmas throwback! With both Christmas and cookies in abundance, I decided to have some fun with the decorating. Painting on the fondant gave the cakes a wonderful touch and the Royal Icing really shined on these cookies.

We have never been able to solve a Rubix cube, but that doesn't stop us from trying! This colourful creation was the quite the conversation starter at the birthday party, with people claiming that it should have been solved. I think it looks better this way 😉

Throwback to an oldy but a goody! This bride decided to challenge me to make a half and half chocolate cake with fondant decorations and sugar paste flowers. Still so happy with the end results.

As a cake decorator, there are so many different possibilities and ideas twirling in my head, that it is difficult to pick one for my own birthday cake. I decided to go with whimsical and thus Henrietta was born! Henrietta was a Carrot cake with Mascarpone icing, and she was delicious. RIP, Henrietta.

Once again I am challenged by my nieces' limitless creativity. Using cardboard, tape and a glue gun, I made a mold with which to make a chocolate paintbrush. Needless to say, she was very impressed. Love you, Sunshine!

Making 120 cake pops is no mean feat! These vanilla pops had a white base with a pastel green drizzle and the finest white sprinkles I had ever seen. Wishing the lovely couple all the best!

Making this little love bug was an absolute joy! I mean, just look at that little face. Not to be overly dramatic, but I love her.
