What a fantastic day at the Paarl Travel & Tourism EXPO 2026 held at Nantes in Paarl!

It was wonderful meeting so many new faces, reconnecting with familiar ones, and chatting with fellow tourism and hospitality professionals. We enjoyed discovering new products, tasting some excellent wines and whiskies, and even brought home a few delicious olives and olive oils for our personal use... for now! 😉

A huge thank you to the organisers for putting together such a successful and enjoyable event. The Expo was a great opportunity to showcase what our beautiful region has to offer, and we are already looking forward to the next one.

Lastly, thank you to our representatives, Stefan Van Leeuwen Boomkamp and Tessa Boomkamp , who proudly represented De Leeuwenhof Estate throughout the day.

We look forward to welcoming many of the wonderful people we met today to De Leeuwenhof Estate in the near future!

This past weekend, De Leeuwenhof Estate had the privilege of hosting travelling skateboard adventurer Jason Vanporppal during his inspiring journey from Uganda to Cape Town.

Jason’s story has captured attention across Africa as he continues his long-distance skateboarding journey through towns, cities, and communities. meeting people from all walks of life and inspiring many with his determination, humility, and positive spirit.

Paarl welcomed him with open arms, and it was incredible to see the excitement and support from the local community during his visit. From the moment he arrived at De Leeuwenhof Estate, our team made sure he could relax, recharge, and enjoy a bit of genuine Cape hospitality before continuing the final leg of his adventure.

Good food, warm conversations, laughter, and community spirit made it a weekend to remember.

We are grateful to everyone who played a part in making his Paarl stop such a memorable one, and we wish Jason all the best as he completes his remarkable journey to Cape Town.

A very special morning at De Leeuwenhof Estate

Today we welcomed precious new life to the farm
A beautiful little baby girl lamb was born safely under the trees, with the whole farm quietly watching over her.

And, in true De Leeuwenhof fashion, our geese apparently decided they were the official midwives on duty. They stood nearby supervising every moment, offering loud opinions, emotional support, and what we can only assume was professional advice to mom.

We are so proud of our gentle mama sheep, who is already proving to be the most loving and protective mother. Seeing these peaceful little moments of farm life reminds us just how special nature can be.

From tiny hooves to curious geese, there is always something magical happening here at De Leeuwenhof Estate.
