Scalzini's Pizza now serving 🍝
Believed to have its origins in Asia thousands of years ago, brought over to Europe by nomadic Arabs, and now eaten all over the world, this Italian staple is a favorite in almost every South African household.
Enjoyed by both young and old, the smell alone is sensational, the taste unique and the feeling after that last mouthful, simply addictive.
With more than 200 different shapes to choose from, Scalzini's has launched a range featuring 5 pastas based on traditional Italian recipes.

We previously introduced you to a few of our savoury vegan options passionately prepared by our dedicated Skating chef Timothy (yes he is a skateboarder when he is not bent over the gas hob)
Over the next few days, we will take you on a sweet taste sensation symphony.
Not only for vegans but made for vegans, these indulgent plant-based and dairy-free delicacies promise to please any palate.
When it comes to cakes, it does not get more indulgent than carrot cake. Made with freshly grated carrots, crushed pineapple enshrouded in a light lemony vegan buttercream and generously studded with roasted pecan nuts. (It took Chef Megan just over a year of trial and error to find the perfect egg replacement for this cake)
Vegan deserts do deliver on taste, quality and visual appeal, no more so than those masterfully created by Megan from Wake and bake kitchen These delicious creations are now available at Scalzini’s.

Our vegan menu is expanding with the addition of a classic - meatballs in tomato sauce served on a bed of spaghetti.
Scheckters Raw Vegan meatballs are the star of the show but not to be outdone is the rich pomodora sauce - made with sun-ripened Italian tomatoes and fresh herbs.
The dish is made to order and requires about 20 minutes preparation time.

It is said that the , spelt without a "k" derives its name from the friendly gossip of slave woman, brought to the Cape from Indonesia - not to be confused with the koeksister, a crisp and very sweet plaited doughnut that has its origins in Holland.
The recipe, usually passed down through generations, is made using a combination of flour, water, milk, yeast, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, naartjie/mandarin peel and aniseed.
Lightly concealed in coconut, these deliciously scented, pillowy, spiced, sugar syruped doughnuts are served as a desert, with either tea or coffee.

Scalzini’s pizza and i-Deli is looking for a full time member who is great with customer service and taking phone calls. Position to start ASAP.
We are seeking someone who can :
-Manage stock and keep the display of the deli clean and well presented.
- be able to work without supervision
- have professional work experience in a food environment, coffee making, cooking, restaurant experience or the like.
- must have own transport or live in Monte Vista
- Must be available to work weekends and public holidays.
