The Bayside Café, a popular bar & grill with magnificent sea views and spectacular sunsets, was successfully run by Eddy and his crew. This establishment had been trading since 01 Oct 1989 and had a strong local and international following who appreciated the consistent good food quality and service. The restaurant featured a sophisticated look throughout, with stunning sea and mountain views, comfortable furniture, attractive large windows, and natural stone accents. It was especially popular for lunch and dinner on weekends and holidays, offering shaded outdoor tables on the best deck in Cape Town to enjoy good weather days. The menu included impressive breakfast options like African, English, fluffy omelettes, flapjack stacks, and French toast. For light lunches, they offered tapas, great burgers, sandwiches, fresh salads, as well as excellent ribs, steaks, seafood dishes; vegetarian diners were also well catered for. They also had a special menu for junior diners. Unfortunately, The Bayside Café has now permanently closed.
