On Monday night lightning struck the beautiful 40yr old Norfolk Pine tree on the neighbouring property, cracking the stem down the middle and stripping a big section of the bark. This tree has to be cut down now as it is a threat to the surrounding houses if it should fall over.
We are heartbroken as owls, hawks and many other birds would perch on the very top and survey the scenery below. This was our permanent Christmas tree with it's star, standing sentinel, towering over our homes.We are going to miss this beauty😢😢
