The Woodstock Foundry is a collaborative project developed by Cape Living Developments in conjunction with local artists, transforming historic buildings along Albert Road in Woodstock into a vibrant studio and retail complex. This design hub features two restaurants, various small office suites, and spaces for retail and studios, all complemented by ample parking facilities. Primarily catering to artists, design professionals, and creative individuals, The Woodstock Foundry serves as a focal point for the creative community while also housing an artisan coffee roastery and café alongside clothing and furniture retailers.

Something new is taking shape at the Foundry.

Walls are being painted, counters are going in, colour schemes are being debated, and is busy turning an empty space into a very tempting new stop.

Soon there’ll be gluten-free pepper steak pies, chicken truffle mayo baguettes, salmon bagels, cinnabons, pistachio cake, coffee and plenty more coming across that counter.

The doors officially open on Saturday 7 November at Founders Keepers Market.

For now, we’re enjoying watching it all come together.

Small jar. Serious flavour. 🌶️

Chilli Lizzi brings homemade chilli relish to the Foundry in red and green, made for eggs, toast, braais, sandwiches, bowls and pretty much anything that could use a little heat.

Never been to The Woodstock Foundry before? This is your sign.

This Saturday, the Foundry opens up for a market day full of good things to eat, wear, sip, gift and take home.

Welcome to The Founders Keepers Market. Expect a mix of flowers, clothing, jewellery, unusual art, homeware, honey, coffee, deli treats, baked goods, produce, beauty, tattoos, artisan finds and little unexpected treasures, all tucked through one of Woodstock’s most characterful creative spaces.

It’s the kind of market where you come for one thing and leave with five. A coffee in hand, something delicious to snack on, a bunch of flowers, a gift you didn’t plan on buying, and probably a few new favourite spots inside the Foundry too.

Wander through the courtyard, explore the makers and our permanent studios, stop for a drink or a bite, and spend a slow Saturday discovering what’s around the next corner.

Founders Keepers takes over Woodstock Foundry this Saturday, 3 October, 10am–3pm. Come for food, flowers, handmade things, strange little treasures and a proper wander through the Foundry’s corners.

A little heat hiding in the Foundry 🌶️

Chilli Lizzi started as a lockdown kitchen experiment and turned into the kind of relish that ends up living permanently in the fridge. Mild jalapeño, plenty of flavour, no artificial colouring or flavouring, and very much made for spooning onto basically everything.

Red or green, choose your allegiance and find Chilli Lizzi tucked into the mix at The Woodstock Foundry.

Spring has crept into The Frame Room.

A little more colour on the walls, a little more light through the Foundry, and plenty of beautifully framed work coming through the studio. The Frame Room specialises in custom picture framing and art curation, with each piece treated as something worth keeping, not just something to hang.

It feels like the right time of year to bring something out of the cupboard and give it a proper place on the wall.

The Foundry is getting new neighbours for the day.

On Saturday 3 October, its passages and corners will fill with makers, collectors, good food, flowers, vintage finds and beautifully odd things you won’t encounter in a shopping centre.

Come hungry. Bring a curious friend. Leave with something you had absolutely no intention of buying.

No shopping list. No strategic route. No need for a plan. Except to be there.

To reach your destination at Albert Road in Cape Town, you have a couple of options for transportation:

**Public Transport:**

1. **MyCiTi Bus:**
- If you're coming from the city center, take the MyCiTi bus from the Civic Centre station. Board the bus heading towards Woodstock and disembark at the Woodstock Station stop. From there, it's a short walk to Albert Road.

2. **Train:**
- You can also take a train from Cape Town Station to Woodstock Station on the Southern Line. Once you arrive at Woodstock Station, it’s about a 10-minute walk to your destination along Albert Road.

3. **Minibus Taxi:**
- Minibus taxis are available throughout Cape Town and can be an affordable option. Look for taxis heading towards Woodstock and ask to be dropped off near Albert Road.

**Driving/Parking:**

- If you’re driving, head towards the N1 highway and take the exit for Nelson Mandela Boulevard (N2). Follow signs for Observatory/Woodstock and merge onto Main Road (M4). Turn left onto Albert Road.
- There is street parking available along Albert Road, but it can get busy during peak hours. Alternatively, look for nearby parking lots or garages if street parking is full.
