Ciao bella! It’s February and we’re giving a warm welcome to our flavour of the month, Tiramisu! 💚🤍❤️ Inspired by Italy, but made with all local ingredients and passion: a creamy, tangy ice cream layered with coffee-soaked, freshly baked sponge cake and finished off with a generous dusting of ’s fabulously rich cocoa powder. 🇮🇹🍨🇿🇦
We’re scooping this luscious flavour all month long, and it’s available in our 500ml take home tubs too!

💡Newlands Cafe is open during loadshedding!💡
We are just thrilled to make it official that our Dean Street shoppie is hooked up to a generator, so we’ll be scooping up a storm no matter the loadshedding stage!
The Newlands generator is in operation until 23h00 on Fridays and Saturday, till 22h00 Monday to Thursday, and to 21h30 on Sundays. We’re hoping to extend and will keep you posted!
And just a reminder that our V&A, Mouille Point and Durbanville Cafes are all open with back up power for their full opening times. ⚡️⚡️⚡️

To get to Dean Street in Cape Town via public transport, visitors can take a train or bus to Cape Town station and then transfer to the MyCiti bus service. Take the 101 or 103 bus and get off at the nearest stop to Dean Street. From there, it is a short walk to the ice cream shop and coffee shop.
For those driving, take Nelson Mandela Boulevard towards Woodstock and exit onto Roodebloem Road. Turn left onto Main Road and continue straight until turning right onto Alma Road. Turn left onto Canterbury Street and then right onto Castle Street until reaching Dean Street. There is limited street parking available.
Alternatively, visitors can park at The Palms parking garage located on Palmyra Road just off of Main Road in Observatory. From there, they can catch a taxi or walk approximately 15 minutes to reach Dean Street.
