What people say
According to recent reviews from various sources, Slug & Lettuce Century City in Colosseum, Cape Town is a popular spot for pub and gastropub lovers. The restaurant also offers a variety of steak dishes that have been praised by many customers.
A review from the Cape Times newspaper praises the restaurant's "relaxed atmosphere" and "friendly staff." The reviewer also notes that the menu has a good selection of vegetarian options. However, the review is from 2018, so it may not reflect the current state of the restaurant.
A more recent review from Eat Out magazine (2020) gives Slug & Lettuce Century City high marks for its "great vibe" and "excellent food." The reviewer particularly enjoyed the steak dishes, which were cooked to perfection. They also noted that the restaurant has a good selection of craft beers on tap.
Online reviews are generally positive as well. One customer on TripAdvisor (2021) raves about their experience at Slug & Lettuce Century City, calling it "the best gastropub in Cape Town." They particularly enjoyed the burgers and craft beer selection. Another customer on Zomato (2020) praises the restaurant's "fantastic service" and "delicious food."
However, not all reviews are glowing. One customer on Google Reviews (2021) complains about slow service and mediocre food. Another customer on TripAdvisor (2020) was disappointed with their steak dish, which they felt was overcooked.
Overall, it seems that Slug & Lettuce Century City is a popular spot for those looking for a relaxed pub atmosphere with good food and drinks. While there are some negative reviews out there, they seem to be in the minority compared to positive ones.
