South Africa has given us so much, and on many occasions, it has provided us with opportunities to grow and face challenges that make us think, "Will we make it?" There is a dream that came true over 10 years ago with the opening of a shop on Barrack Street in Cape Town. At first, it seemed like madness; everyone was telling them how bad that area in Cape Town was. However, "The Cousins" always believed in the power of recipes passed down by their grandmothers. "The Cousins" is taking pasta to an unprecedented level. Hundreds of thousands of people are experiencing a unique journey, as if they were in Emilia-Romagna. The shop is a welcoming place where pasta is handmade and the sauces are full of tradition. The inviting aroma spreads through the streets, attracting food lovers. Every dish is a work of art, with the freshness and authenticity of Italy. Thanks to "The Cousins," Cape Town has the taste of Emilia-Romagna without having to travel. The dream is turning into an incredible reality, a culinary success that continues to spread joy and love for pasta.

we take the arrival of winter ๐ฅถ and these first cold days very seriously. And not only do we worry about dusting off our scarves ๐งฃ and hats ๐ฉ , but above all we worry about our beloved customers ๐น. And our question is always the same. What did grandma ๐ต๐ป Tina give us to eat when the first cold days arrived? Ah, โLe Polpette (meatballs) were so delicious, it was one of the few reasons we were happy about the arrival of autumn. And here for you ๐ค, directly from grandma's teachings, this perfect dish, ready to warm ๐ฅyou up in this winter arrival. It was 2014, and although the exact date had faded from memory, the cousins remembered vividly their dream: to share their greatest passion - food - with the city that had captured their hearts, Cape Town. The city had given them a sense of belonging they had only ever felt at home. They were determined to make their dream a reality by opening an authentic Italian restaurant on a somewhat deserted alleyway in the city center. It was a place few would have thought to venture to at night, let alone find an Italian restaurant.
The cousins believed in their passion, and more importantly, knew that by following their grandmother's advice, they couldn't go wrong. They started serving mouthwatering pasta dishes, and before long, word began to spread. But one ingredient stood out from the rest, the Parmesan cheese ๐ง, which quickly became the star of the show, making their popularity grow exponentially.
As they look back on those early days, the cousins are filled with pride and gratitude for the immense support and appreciation they receive from their customers every day. Ten years have passed since that first day, and their Italian restaurant has become a beloved institution in Cape Town, a place where people go to savor authentic cuisine and feel the warmth of a family-run business.
