J&M Biltong & Creamy Blue Cheese wintery soup.
Rich, savory, and indulgent, South African comfort food with a gourmet twist!
Ingredients:
1 cup finely sliced J&M biltong
2 tbsp butter
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups chicken or vegetable stock
1 cup cream
100 g creamy blue cheese
Salt & black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Method:
In a pot, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
Add stock and bring to a gentle simmer.
Stir in cream and crumble in the blue cheese, whisking until smooth.
Add the J&M biltong slices and simmer for 5 minutes.
Season to taste and garnish with parsley.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve with crusty bread or toasted ciabatta. A drizzle of olive oil or honey adds a beautiful finishing touch.
