Yesterday, we marked World Bee Day with an afternoon dedicated to slowing down and appreciating one of nature’s most intricate processes. In collaboration with Michael Hammond of The Honey Room, guests explored a honey tasting featuring single-origin honey shaped by the floral landscapes of the Cape, paired with a thoughtfully curated Afternoon Tea menu.
From delicate savoury pairings to warm mini scones finished with fynbos honey, the experience celebrated the remarkable Cape honey bee and the ecosystems it supports across the Western Cape.
