For Mother’s Day with , we created a gifting moment designed to make mothers feel truly seen and celebrated.
From sourcing, concept development and manufacturing, to styling and ex*****on, every element was created by ALMA Experimental.
Custom chocolate and pistachio marshmallow sandwiches, handmade by our team, were paired with hand tied floral posies gifted throughout the day as small gestures of softness, appreciation and care.
The feedback we received was the most meaningful part. Big smiles, emotional reactions, and mothers expressing how special and thoughtfully considered they felt.
A reminder that sometimes the smallest moments leave the deepest imprint.

A day at the Cricket Sixes with Shyft by Standard Bank
We had the pleasure of creating a gelato on a stick experience designed for the energy of the game and the South African summer.
Flavours were rooted in familiarity and nostalgia
peppermint crisp tart
milk tart
granadilla sorbet
rooibos and peach sorbet
Each element considered, from the first visual moment to the last bite, small personalised touches, seamless service, and an experience designed to feel effortless
A station that didn’t just serve ice cream, but created moments. Judging by the smiles (and repeat visits), it’s safe to say these flavours landed exactly where they needed to!

☀️Cape Town showed up, the riders showed up. And so did the ice cream 🍦🚴♀️
For the Cape Town Cycle Tour, we created a bespoke ice cream station for our long standing client Source Food, serving flavour, energy and a little post ride indulgence.
Featuring our current obsession dark chocolate and pistachio ice cream sandwiches. Rich, nutty, slightly salty, deeply indulgent and completely addictive. The kind of flavour that feels earned after 109km on the bike.
The hardest part of our job is making sure our creations actually make it to the client and not our stomachs 🤭
Crafted with intention. Served with joy.

We turned corporate blue into a full sensory experience.
For the recent GTR Africa 2026 conference with Standard Bank, we created a bespoke ice cream station designed entirely around their brand world.
Custom ice cream, personalized cart, live torching of homemade marshmallows. Personalized toppings, decor details layered intentionally to echo their visual identity.
This is what we love most, translating a brand into something you can taste, see and feel. Not just dessert.
storytelling through texture, flame and colour.
Crafted with intention. Served with theatre 🔥
The results and the audience receptivity speaks for itself.

Over 13 years ago I created Las Paletas, I did not know then that I was building more than an ice cream brand. I was building a way back to myself.
Today we step fully into Alma Experimental.
Not just a new office. Not just a new chapter.
But a home for everything I have lived and rebuilt.
Alma Experimental is a food studio. But more than that, it is a living story of female entrepreneurship.
Of leading from the feminine.
Of creating in the midst of uncertainty.
Of holding a child in one hand and a vision in the other.
Of moving through heavy waters and still choosing to move toward the light.
But what we really do is translate emotion into taste.
We work with brands to craft sensory moments that are not about product.
They are about feeling. Because when something lingers on the palate, it lingers in the body. And when it lingers in the body, it becomes story.
And YES, IT IS ABOUT WOMEN! About building while mothering. About creating while healing.
About leading without hardening.
This is Alma Experimental, my soul…
And this is only the beginning.

Sunshine in one bite ☀️
We created these mango and dragon fruit sorbet lollies for Soho House to bring a playful tropical moment into the space through food. Made using 100% natural seasonal fruit these lollies contain no additives no guar gum no stabilizers and no preservatives. Just real fruit frozen at its peak.
There is something about these colours that instantly feels like summer. The sweetness of ripe mango paired with the vibrant freshness of dragon fruit creates a flavour that is light refreshing and joyful.
At Las Paletas we do not mass produce. We work in small batches with intention crafting each product to reflect a moment a mood or a brand experience.
We love being able to translate a feeling into something edible. In this case something colourful fun and unmistakably tropical that lives on not just in memory but on the palate.
