It’s time to dust off the grill, get out the tongs and start preparing some marvellous marinades to impress your guests on the 24th!👏🏻
Here’s some inspo:
Smokey Chicken marinade
•2 T smoked Spanish paprika, toasted
•1 T coriander seeds, toasted
•2 cloves garlic, peeled
•50 g brown sugar
•½ cup tomato purée
•1 T lemon juice
•2 t Worcester sauce
•10 g fresh thyme, leaves picked
•2 T olive oil
Place all ingredients in your Dualit hand blend chopper bowl, whizz until mixed. Chunky is ok, unless you prefer a smooth marinade.
Place chicken in a dish, rub marinade all over and cover for 4-6 hours prior to cooking.

Directions to Pontac Close in Cape Town can be accessed through different modes of transportation. To get there via public transport, you can take a bus or a taxi heading towards the Observatory area. Alight at the Observatory Station and walk southward (about 10 minutes) towards the direction of the Rondebosch area until you reach Pontac Close.
For driving/parking, take the N2 coming from Cape Town CBD and head towards George. Take exit 7 for Main Road/Rondebosch/Observatory and turn left onto Main Road. Then, take a right at Collingwood Road and another right onto Lower Scott Rd. Turn left onto Anzio Rd and left again onto Pontac Close. There is limited street parking available but there are also paid parking lots nearby for convenience.
