Nothing like a tasty braai on a warm summer evening. Even better when you add a delicious braai pie or two - stuffed with fresh garden spinach, feta and mushrooms, sprinkled with mozzarella and cheddar mix cheese, of course.

Try something new for dinner, what I call a South African quesadilla.... See video below but use PitZar pizza bases and cook on the braai or pan but that's not as tasty. The result are crispy slices of deliciousness.

Delicious anchovies, tomato base and mozzarella/cheddar mix pitzar braai pies (South African quesadillas) and a slow roast smoked pork rib on the braai, fantastic combination. Order now and try some with the rugby on Saturday.

Don't wait for the weekend, come and get them now. The lightly precooked and vacuum packed, ultra thin bases last for months in the fridge.

Get those bases before the weekend and enjoy the best home made pizza in a flash. Braai pies/enchiladas using 2 bases (yes they are that thin) and filling with your favourites (left over braai, pulled pork, spicy sausage, onion, garlic, tomatoes etc) and mozzarella/cheddar cheese, braai'ed slowly till crisp and delicious. I have plenty in stock.

PitZar - it's all about the base will be closed from 4pm on Thursday till afternoon of Sunday 14th July. If you are in need of bases for the weekend please order and collect (or I'll deliver in the greater Dville area) before 4pm Thursday. If you are unsure, come purchase anyway, the bases can be stored in the fridge for 2 months.

Looking for delicious thin crust pizza bases, I have plenty on stock, pop around and purchase R60 for a pack of 5 (approx. 30cm in diam), R50 for pack of 4 (approx 21cm in diam or 23x20cm rectangle). Great for electric ovens, pizza ovens, webers, stainless braai ovens etc and make the best braai pie in town.

To get to the pizza place on Florida Street in Durbanville by public transport, you can take a train and disembark at Durbanville Station. From there, walk straight down Church Street for about 450 meters until you reach Florida Street. Turn left onto Florida Street and continue walking for another 200 meters until you reach your destination.

If driving, take the N1 highway and exit onto Exit 23 toward Durban Road/R302/Durbanville. Continue straight on Durban Road for about 5km until you reach the intersection with Wellington Road. Turn right onto Wellington Road and continue straight for another kilometer until you reach Church Street. Turn left onto Church Street and then turn right onto Florida Street after approximately 200 meters. The pizza place will be on your right.

There are several parking options available on-street around the pizza place, but it is worth noting that parking may be limited during peak times.
