A shout out to the collaborative teamwork that produces what we hope is a well-curated and always evolving wine list. Like The Tea Leaf, a highly regarded blend of Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc and Palomino grapes, from vines rooted in the Piekenierskloof region growing amidst rooibos. To reach the restaurant location in Vredehoek, visitors can take a bus or taxi to Molteno Road. From there, they can walk for approximately 5-10 minutes towards the southeast direction to reach the restaurant. Alternatively, visitors can drive towards Molteno Road and park on the side of the road near the restaurant location. Please note that parking spaces may be limited and subject to availability.

Deerpark Cafe is a restaurant that has been serving delicious and nourishing meals since 2004. Their philosophy of using quality ingredients that are ethically and locally sourced remains unchanged, even during the pandemic. During lockdown, they started delivering meals, homemade dips, pasta sauces, curry pastes, and carefully sourced meats, cheese, breads, and pantry basics. They continue to cook from home with a weekly changing menu that is delivered every Thursday.
Deerpark Cafe's vegan meals are so delicious that even carnivores come back for more. They also provide delectable children's meals cooked from scratch for busy parents. The restaurant takes pride in cooking authentic Indian cuisine with unique and fresh flavors from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa and beyond.
The team behind Deerpark Cafe is led by Carin who trained in macrobiotic cooking in New York before returning to Cape Town to run the vegetarian kitchen at Fields - the city's iconic health shop - where she established its reputation for the best food.
Although Deerpark Cafe had to close temporarily due to Signatura’s redevelopment of Deer Park Place in January 2021, they will reopen on the park in 2022. Until then, they continue to provide their loyal customers with delicious meals through their delivery service and catering options.
