Maybe someone could do with a bit of inspiration....

I Don’t Do Hope. I Do Action.

I don’t sit around waiting
for life to suddenly become kind.
I’ve learned that some doors stay closed
until you put your shoulder against them.

I don’t ask the storm to pass.
I tighten my grip
and walk straight through it.

Because hope can whisper,
“Maybe tomorrow.”
Action says,
“Not tomorrow. Today.”

I have been tired.
I have been disappointed.
I have stood in places
where giving up would have made perfect sense.

But I’m still here.

Not because everything worked out.
Not because the road was fair.
Not because somebody came to save me.

I’m still here
because every time life knocked me down,
something inside me said:

Get up.

One more time.
One more step.
One more fight.
One more attempt
when nobody else can see the reason.

That is who I am.

I don’t need certainty
before I move.

I don’t need applause
before I work.

I don’t need the world
to believe in me
before I believe in what I can build.

Some days I will win.

Some days I will lose.

Some days the only victory
will be that I refused to quit.

And that is enough.

Because dreams are not built
by the people who waited the longest.

They are built by the people
who kept showing up
with bruised hearts,
tired eyes,
shaking hands
and an unbelievable determination
to try again.

So no—

I don’t do hope.

I do early mornings.
I do difficult decisions.
I do mistakes and lessons.
I do falling and getting back up.
I do one more phone call,
one more hour,
one more step forward.

I do whatever it takes
to make tomorrow different from today.

And when the day finally comes
when I stand in front of the thing
they said I would never reach,

I won’t say,

“I hoped this would happen.”

I’ll look back at every scar,
every sacrifice,
every night I nearly stopped—

and I’ll know:

I made it happen.
