Morning everyone!

Yes , it is going to be a busy weekend for Woodies . We shall be open from 7.30 am for the ARGUS on Sunday, offering breakfast, coffee etc. ROLLING AUDIO shall be in , to ensure we have a musical pary vibe!!

Then it is PADDY'S DAY on Tuesday, the 17th March. Once again, we felt the need for a musical vibe to help the evening along!! We have a great DJ booked , he promises to have an Irish themed musical list .

Our menu shall be Irish themed as usual.

So fun is on the menu, C'mon Down!!

The January quiz was so successful we are going to restart regular quiz nights again! This months quiz will be in aid of Funda Kunye, a local childrens charity.

The quiz has been streamlined so that everyone gets home before midnight :). It shall start at 7pm sharp.

Good Afternoon everyone.. You all know what an animal lover I am, so when Liz Bester , (who has also been helping animals in Hout Bay for many years) asked for help with her vet bill, of course I said YES!

Happy Wednesday,

Freshly caught YELLOWFIN TUNA is at Woodies !! Thanks Steve , my fisherman friend!! Yellowfin Tuna is the "wagu" of the beef world!

So , yes the price of the dishes has gone up , slightly , but not a lot ! Tuna salad with Asian Dressing g R140, Tuna Steak R 200gm with spicy yellow rice and Asian Dressing R 160.
Both are delicious and sell very quickly.AsI have said before I do not want to freeze this delicious delicate fish..so c'mon down.

Morning,

This to confirm that Woodies shall be open today, for ALL the RUGBY GAMES. Electricity is being restored, and if it is not we have generator backup.

There is a lot of rugby going on , that can only be properly enjoyed with good company and a cold beer or 2!!

We are saddened by the fire at Veldt yesterday, and send our thoughts to both the owners, and their employees . We hope that Veldt shall rise from the ashes, and once again start trading.

Hi there, TUNA season is here 😁😁, so we are getting , some lovely FRESH tuna , which was swimming in the sea only yesterday.
As we are getting this lovely fish at a good price, and that I do not want to freeze this delicious tuna , we are offering these dishes at ridiculously cheap prices

Seared Sesame Tuna Steak, with salsa , spiced rice and Asian dressing R130 !!

Seared Tuna & Avocado salad , served with an Asian ginger dressing R100 !!

I shall add pictures when I can!! I challenge anyone to get a cheaper price , for delicious a fresh tuna meal!!

Yes , we are still running our R129 RIBS & CHIPS SPECIAL. It is so popular we just cannot "stop" it! It was pointed out that I was not posting pictures of our actual food, this was mainly due to my lack of photography skills 😉. So I got someone else to do it for me , see picture below. 😁😁

To get to Main Road in Hout Bay, you can take the MyCiTi bus route 108 or taxi service from Cape Town CBD. The nearest bus stop is located on Main Road, just a few minutes' walk from the pub.

If driving, take the M3 southbound towards Hout Bay and exit onto Victoria Road. Follow this road until it turns into Main Road and continue straight until you reach the pub. Parking is available on the surrounding streets.
