Take the T1 train line towards Melkbosstrand and alight at the Melkbosstrand station. From there, take a short walk towards Beach Road until you reach the restaurant.
Option 2 - Driving/Parking:
From Cape Town City Centre, take the N1 highway towards Paarl and take exit 4 for Bosmansdam Road. Continue straight onto Otto du Plessis Drive which leads to Beach Road in Melkbosstrand. The restaurant is located along this road and parking is available on site or on nearby streets.

Seafood restaurants are known for their fresh and delicious seafood dishes, and Cafe Orca in Melkbosstrand is no exception. This family-run establishment has been serving up some of the best seafood in Cape Town since 1997. The restaurant is housed inside one of the original beachfront cottages, offering diners stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean while they enjoy their meals.
Cafe Orca has received numerous accolades over the years, including being named one of the top 500 restaurants in South Africa by Eat Out Magazine in 2015. It's not hard to see why - the quality of their seafood is exceptional, and their prices are very reasonable.
The restaurant is open six days a week, from Tuesday to Sunday. They serve lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, and lunch only on Sundays. While they don't take reservations for lunch, it's recommended that you make a reservation for dinner as they tend to fill up quickly.
Overall, Cafe Orca is a must-visit for seafood lovers in Cape Town. With its prime location on Beach Road in Melkbosstrand and its reputation for high-quality seafood at great prices, it's no wonder this restaurant has become such a beloved institution over the years.
