This Mandela Day - Saturday, 18 July 2026 - stand with the pets and families of the Cape Flats who need kindness now more than ever.
Our dream is simple: to sterilise, vaccinate and microchip 67 cats and dogs belonging to families who love their animals deeply, but who are struggling just to survive.
To make it happen, we need to raise R33 500.
For so many, a pet is their only source of comfort.
In communities where unemployment, rising food prices and crippling taxi fares make daily life so hard, these animals aren't "just pets" - they're family, companionship and unconditional love.
We meet people every day who would rather go hungry than let their pets go without. Who share their blankets on freezing nights. Who carry sick animals for kilometres because they can't afford transport. Who love wholeheartedly despite having so little.
These families don't want handouts. They simply want the chance to care responsibly for the animals who stand beside them through every hardship.
By sterilising and vaccinating these pets, we prevent future suffering, reduce unwanted litters and help families protect the companions they treasure most.
We'd love to send every sterilised pet home with something special:
🦴 A bag of food
🧣 A warm blanket
🐕 A collar or leash
🥣 A new food or water bowl
Small things that make a very big difference.
Every donation, no matter the size, goes to carefully screened, truly deserving pet owners who simply need someone to believe in them.
