Die Bennie Griessel is not just a burger, it has a story behind it. .meyer.author, one of South Africa's most beloved authors, created a character called Bennie Griessel who ate at De Vrije Burger in one of his novels.
So we called Deon and asked him one simple question: if Bennie could have any burger every day, what would he have? His answer was a mustard pickle. And just like that, Die Bennie Griessel was born.
180g of free-range beef, double cheddar and mustard pickle on a handmade bun.
A fictional detective's order that became a permanent fixture on our menu.
