A STORY OF FREEDOM.
This Saturday, 18 July, we are honoured to welcome Dede Kgotso Ntsoelengoe as a special guest speaker at the Madiba Legacy Weekend.
A former political activist and Robben Island ex-political prisoner, Dede now serves as Manager of the ILM Unit at Robben Island Museum, helping preserve and share the history of one of South Africa's most significant heritage sites.
Through his lived experience, storytelling and deep historical insight, he continues to share the lessons of Robben Island and speak on freedom, democracy, human rights and social justice.
Join us for an evening of heritage, culture, cuisine and powerful storytelling as we honour the legacy of Tata Madiba.

Across Africa, music has always been more than entertainment. It’s celebration, storytelling, connection, and community. When our marimba band fills the room with sound, they’re carrying on a tradition that has brought people together for generations.
We know the music can be lively (and yes, sometimes loud 😉), but that’s part of the experience. Mama Africa was created to celebrate the vibrant spirit of our continent - the flavours, the people, the dancing, and the music that moves us.
Some guests come for the food and stay for the rhythm. Others find themselves dancing before dessert arrives.

This Youth Day 🇿🇦🎈Mama Africa had the privilege of celebrating with the incredible Bartoach Foundation, who spent the morning with us creating memories, sharing laughter, and spreading joy.
The day was filled with dancing, magical moments, music, arts and crafts, and of course, delicious food enjoyed together. Most importantly, it was a reminder of the importance of investing in our youth - the leaders, dreamers, and changemakers of tomorrow.
By pouring into our young people with encouragement, opportunities, and meaningful experiences, we help build confidence, inspire hope, and nurture brighter futures. Thank you to the Bartosch Foundation for partnering with us to make this Youth Day so special ♥️
