This week at Judds, get to know the range:
Impisi Old Vine Chenin Blanc brings lemon peel, ginger and beautiful texture.
Shiraz goes darker with black fruit, cherry, cocoa and a savoury smoky edge.
Cabernet Sauvignon is all cassis, dark berries, freshness and fine, ripe tannins.
And Takaya, a Shiraz and Cabernet-led blend, brings dark fruit, spice, leather and a long peppery finish.

Case in point: Alheit Vineyards.
Chris Alheit has become one of South Africa’s most celebrated winemakers, making exceptional wines from old Cape vineyards, with Chenin Blanc very much at the heart of the story.
And yes, we have some of his harder-to-find allocation wines.
They’re hard to come by.

You’re still trying to undo the questionable decisions of the weekend. You’ve declared this a healthy week. But you also deserve lunch that doesn’t feel like punishment.
Enter the Tomato Party.
Roma & cherry tomatoes, oven dried confit tomatoes, confit garlic, basil pesto, bocconcini, fresh basil and red onion. Olive oil, Maldon salt and lightly toasted ciabatta for very necessary mopping purposes.
Technically a salad.
Emotionally, much more interesting.
