A very special first for Wilderer Cottages. 🤍
This weekend, we welcomed our very first guests — and seeing the cottages filled with conversation, laughter, sunset drinks and slow mornings made everything feel real at last.
The sweetest surprise was a handwritten note left by one of our youngest guests: “I love Kristian Wilderer.” A little reminder of exactly what we hoped to create here — a place where people can slow down, reconnect and make happy memories together.

Cottage shopping is serious business… apparently it also requires a little poolside quality control. 😄
Behind the scenes at the Wilderer Cottages, we’ve been busy sourcing those final pieces that will bring the spaces together — baskets, textures, cushions, cosy layers and all the little details that make a stay feel special.
Outside, the landscaping is taking shape too, and after a long day of shopping and decision-making, Christian Wilderer decided someone needed to test the poolside relaxation experience.
We can confirm: it works.
There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes, but every day these four cottages are looking a little more like the Winelands escape we imagined.

We’re currently bringing the final details together — from landscaping around the cottages to completing and styling the interiors — and it’s incredibly exciting to see the vision becoming a reality.
Set on the Wilderer Estate, the cottages will offer a relaxed Winelands escape with Wilderer right on your doorstep.

To get to the location in Simondium, Paarl via public transport, take a train or bus to the Paarl station. From there, you can take a taxi or Uber to the destination.
If you are driving, take the N1 highway towards Paarl and take exit 47 for Wellington Road/R44. Turn right onto R44 and continue straight until you reach Simondium. Look for parking options nearby as there is no designated parking area at the location.
