SPOON KIMCHI 🍏🥬🥕
You might have seen these big glass jars in the shop before and wondered, “What on earth is this.”
This is our homemade Kimchi.
A traditional Korean fermented vegetable side dish.
Our homemade kimchi is made with Chinese Cabbage, Daikon Radish, Carrots, Korean Red Pepper Flakes, Garlic, Ginger and Green Apple. Kimchi contains probiotics beneficial for your gut health.
A few dishes on our menu feature this foodie favourite that packs a flavour punch. Give it a go!

Woke up this morning with our baby turning a whole 5 years old!! 🥺
On 17 Feb 2021 we launched our website and officially started Spoon Bakery from our little apartment kitchen in Somerset-West.
Two young adults not having a clue of how far this dream would take us.
After filling a couple thousand jars with cakes and treats for market days and slowly building an amazing following of customers, we then opened up our bakery & eatery in November 2022.
It’s been a full 5 years of upward and downward spirals, with a neverending supply of coffee and learning and growing, making mistakes and making amazing decisions.
Thank you to our families for believing in us.
