Celebrating art and the artists who shape our world.

For , we celebrate the role of art at Tokara and the South African artists whose work brings another dimension to the estate.

From the sculptures that line our garden pathways to the tapestries by William Kentridge in Tokara Restaurant, art is woven into the experience of visiting Tokara. Our gallery also hosts changing exhibitions that invite new perspectives and encourage a closer look at the creativity and talent within our own artistic community.

We’re grateful to our art curator, Julia Meintjes, for bringing these exhibitions together and to Ilse Schermers, who oversees our sculpture garden and its collection of works by South African artists.

Today, we celebrate the artists whose ideas, imagination and perspectives enrich our cultural landscape and the many ways their work connects us to the world around us.

Something new is taking shape in the Adamastor Moss Garden.

With Gert van Tonder and his team having been at work on a traditional Japanese tea hut, a familiar space in the garden has taken on a new character.

As part of the Stellenbosch Garden Town Festival, our private farm garden will open its gates on four days this October. Come and wander through the garden, take in the views and discover the latest addition to the Adamastor Moss Garden for yourself.

To reach Tokara Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, follow these travel options:

**Driving Directions:**
1. From Cape Town, take the N1 highway towards Paarl.
2. Merge onto the R304 exit toward Stellenbosch.
3. Continue on R304 until you reach the R44 intersection.
4. Turn left onto R44 and follow the signs for Stellenbosch.
5. After approximately 10 km, turn right onto Helshoogte Road (R310).
6. Follow Helshoogte Road for about 5 km; Tokara Wine Estate will be on your left.
7. There is ample parking available on-site.
