Songwriters’ Showcase, booking bands, playing incredible shows, whoever needed a mic and a guitar, he’s been the one behind it.
Tonight, he’s closing it out.
The very last show at 84 Shortmarket Street. This is going to be special. Cry, or don’t cry, but just join us.

Tonight is the last Songwriters’ Showcase at 84 Shortmarket Street.
Where it all started. Where it was just a curtain and a rug.
Andy Lund built it. Jak Tomas has held it down every Tuesday. Original songs, guitar solos, spoken word, whoever’s brave enough to step up.
Sing goodbye to the old room. Bring a song if you’ve got one, or just appreciate some talent.

Burning Down This House happened. It was insane. We’re still recovering.
Bartenders, you carried that room. Respect.
PHFAT set the place on fire. METRO VILLA kept it burning. THoM’s still hot and buzzing.
A big shoutout to our vendors for taking care of the crowd.
slurp for keeping those cocktails coming, Frankie’s Burgers for bringing tasty wings to the table, Gozney South Africa for kneading dough and turning it into a masterpiece, Codigo1530_Africa for pouring us tequilas, and for Cape Brewing Company for giving us b**r bellies. You were awesome. ⚡️

Thank you, Andrew and Dustin, we’d like to shine the spotlight on you today.
Andrew from Frankie Fenner and Dustin from Luks, two people who helped chisel essential pillars for The House of Machines. This one’s overdue.
Their kindness doesn’t stop there…
Frankie’s Burgers is giving out free (insanely delicious) chicken wings, Saturday 16:00–18:00. Dusty roped in Gozney South Africa for free pizza during happy hour too.
We’re lucky to have these two legends.
